General Terms & Condition
Terms and Conditions Last Updated: January 14, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by 5S Industrial Flooring LTD (“the Company,” “we,” “us”) to the client (“the Client,” “you”). By requesting a quote or commissioning our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Quotations and Booking
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. A quotation is based on the information provided by the Client. We reserve the right to amend the price if the site conditions differ significantly upon physical inspection. A contract is only formed once the Client provides written acceptance of the quote and any required deposit is paid.
2. Client Obligations (Site Preparation)
The Client is responsible for ensuring the following unless otherwise agreed in writing :The area is clear of all machinery, debris, and other tradespeople .Safe access to the site and availability of 110v or 240v power and water. The substrate is sufficiently cured (for new concrete) and free from rising damp or structural defects.5S Industrial Flooring LTD will not be held liable for delays caused by inadequate site preparation by the Client.
3. Payments and Deposits
Deposits: We may require a deposit (typically 25-50%) to secure a booking and order materials.
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due strictly within [e.g., 7 or 14] days of completion of the works. Late Payments: We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
4. Variations and Extra Work
Any changes to the original scope of work requested by the Client after the project has started will be treated as a "Variation." These will be charged at an additional rate and may affect the completion date.
5. Warranties and Liability Workmanship: We provide a warranty on our workmanship for a period of [e.g., 12 months], provided the floor is maintained according to our guidelines. Substrate Failure: We cannot be held liable for floor failures caused by structural movement, hydrostatic pressure (rising damp), or underlying concrete defects that were not visible during the initial survey. Slip Resistance: While we provide anti-slip coatings, the ongoing safety of the floor depends on proper cleaning and the removal of spills by the Client.
6. Cancellations
Cancellations made less than [e.g., 48-72] hours before the scheduled start date may result in a loss of deposit or a mobilization fee to cover lost labour and material costs.
7. Intellectual Property
We reserve the right to take photographs of the work (before, during, and after) for marketing purposes on 5sindustrialflooring.co.uk and social media, unless the Client explicitly requests otherwise for privacy reasons.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
